Jonathan M Swahlan

Jonathan M. Swahlan 34 passed away Tuesday morning July 28th, 2015. Born in Niskayuna, Jonathan was the son Samuel Swahlan and the late Carol (Jorgensen) Swahlan. A 1999 graduate of Schenectady High School, he had attended Schenectady County Community College. A grounds keeper for many years, Jonathan had worked for the Mohawk Club, Stadium Golf Course and was working for Schenectady Municipal Golf Course. Jonathan was also employed by Domino's Pizza in Schenectady. A lover of the outdoors, he enjoyed hiking, long walks, golf and fishing. He had a great sense of humor, was always there to lend a hand and he loved his dogs. Jonathan married Julie the love of his life on February 19, 2009, they had been together since 2001 Predeceased in 2011 by his mother Carol, Jonathan is survived by his wife Julie A. (Bush) Swahlan ,his dad, Samuel Swahlan of Schenectady, a sister, Christy Shive (Nathan) of PA., his in-laws, Frank and Virginia Bush of Rotterdam, Sister-in-law Ann Sutton (KT Heshmaty) of Schenectady, Brother-in-law, Peter Bush (Michelle) of Northville, MI along with nieces Maggie and Lauren and nephews, Paul, Grant and Peyton. A memorial service will be held on Thursday evening August 6th at 6:30 pm at bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY. A visitation will precede the service from 4:30 to 6:30pm prior at the funeral home.
