Born in 1931, John is now reunited with his late husband Larry Clink, whom he married in 2013, and his late parents Erwin and Ruth Wood. He is a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and Syracuse University. It was his goal to become an actor, however, he found his passion and career in the entertainment industry as a cameraman for the ABC television network.He won television's prestigious Emmy Award for his camera work and "Outstanding Individual Achievement" for the 1984 Summer Olympics, and was twice nominated for his work. He was a cameraman for ABC's hit cult classic soap opera "Dark Shadows" , as well as "All My Children", "One Life To Live" and ABC's "Wide World of Sports".John loved theatre and performed in radio and television commercials as well as on stage with Repertory companies in Syracuse. He sang in the NYC Gay Men's Chorus. Locally at Capital Rep, Park Playhouse, Albany Civic Theater, Schenectady Civic Players, Schenectady Light Opera Company and many other theatre companies. John attended the First Church of Christ,Science in Schenectady where he was long time member and sang in the choir. A graveside service will be held May 15th at 11:00 at Memory's Gardens, Colonie NY. Friends are welcome to attend. Arrangements by Bond Funeral Home.
