John Polomie

John Polomie Jr,72 passed away on Friday January 1, 2021 at Northern Manor Multicare Center in Nanuet, NY.

Born and educated in Schenectady, John was the loving son of Pearl (Potter) Polomie of Schenectady and the late John Polomie Sr.

A former bus driver for more than 20 years with Gateway Transportation in Scotia prior to his retirement, John was a devote husband, son, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed playing cards and his trips to the casino’s.

Beside his mother, John is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sheila A. (Fonda) Polomie of Schenectady, his children Melissa Brown of Schenectady, Lisa Brown (Keith) of Schenectady, Bradley Polomie (Samantha) of Schenectady, Christopher Polomie (Alicia) of Watervliet and Pearl Hyam (Patrick) of Amsterdam, his sister Patricia Robatailli (Ronald) of Ballston Spa, a niece Tina Kniskern of Schenectady, a nephew Guy Robatailli (Christine) of Amsterdam, 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

At John’s request services will not be held.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in John’s memory to a charity of choice.
