John J Orsini

John J. Orsini 73 passed away Thursday morning July 28th at Brookdale East in Niskayuna, NY. Born in Amsterdam, John was the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Goodrow) Orsini. A graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch High School in Amsterdam, John received his Bachelors degree and did his graduate work at S.U.C.O. in Oneonta. A teacher at Central Park in the Schenectady City School District from 1967 till his retirement in 2001, John was active with the Boy Scouts of America, a member of the Order of the Arrow, an avid train, stamp and coin collector and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. John is survived by his wife of over 49 years Elaine L. (Hartley) Orsini, his children; Michael J. Orsini (Lisa) of Rochester and Daniel J. Orsini (Rachel) of Niskayuna, his grandchildren; Ryan, Owen, Avery, Wesley and Mackenzie, his brother; Joseph J. Orsini of Glen, NY , his sister: Joanne Alheim (Bob) of Schenectady and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday August 1,2016 at 5 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3 to 5 pm prior to the funeral service. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
