John A. Mineconzo, 92, of Schenectady passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at his home. Born in Lyndhurst, NJ, he was the son of the late Cataldo and Mary (Tarnaldi) Mineconzo. He served in the Army in WW2 in General Patton's Third Army in France and Germany. John was employed in construction for Local Union #12 retiring in 1980. He loved hunting and fishing. John loved his camp in the Adirondacks. The family would like to extend a special thanks to his dear friend Renee Van Derzee. They also would like to acknowledge special thanks to Gerald Carozza for his care of John in his later years. He is predeceased by his wife Nancy Fraumeni Mineconzo, four brothers- Angelo Mineconzo, Paul Mineconzo, Archangelo Mineconzo and Louis Mineconzo, and four sisters- Anna D'Celli, Mary Lundergan, Malfalda Potter and Julie Marra. John is survived by his daughter Patricia Dadez of Clifton Park, one brother Albert Mineconzo of Las Vegas, Nevada, also survived by three grandchildren-Gary Bojarski, Michael Bojarski and Tricia Chevalier, also four great grandchildren-Callie Chevalier, Sophie Chevalier, Michael Bojarski Jr. and Matthew Bojarski as well as several nieces and nephews. There will be no services or calling hours held by request. Inurnment will be in St. Josephs Cemetery. Contributions can be made in John's memory to the Speculator Volunteer Ambulance Service; PO Box 282 Speculator, NY 12164. Arrangements are by the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady.
