John Larkin

John A. Larkin 38 of Schenectady died Sunday afternoon at St Clare's hospital. Born in Schenectady, John was the son of Geraldine Mills Larkin of Schenectady and Johnnie Larkin of New York, NY and a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. John had worked at Garcia's Resturant and loved music. He had competed for several years in the Pepsi Hot Shot Competition at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Beside his parents he is survived by his son Daimir Larkin of Troy, a brother Sean Larkin of Schenectady, a aunt Ann Lee and 3 uncles, Larry Larkin, Bernard Larkin and Tony Larkin all of Newberry ,Fl. and 2 nieces Shameeka Johnson and Shameta Terry both of Schenectady. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 12 noon at Mt Olivet Baptist Church, Strong Street, Schenectady. A visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 11 to 12 prior to the service.
