John A Isabella

John A. Isabella 69, passed away on Monday April 24th at St. Peter's Hospice surrounded by his loving family. Born and educated in Schenectady, John was the son of the late John and Viola (Ottaviano) Isabella and a graduate of Linton High School and HVCC. A claims Adjuster for over 34 years, John retired from AIG in Albany, NY in 2010. A member of St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Schenectady, John was avid golfer and a member of golf leagues at Stadium, Schenectady Muni and a traveling league with friends and a member of the Rotterdam Elks # 2157 John is survived by his beloved wife of 47 years, Karen S.(Burnley) Isabella whom he married April 17, 1970, his cherished children: Kristi N. Isabella (John Weiss) of Glenville, Jason JC Isabella (Mackenzie LaCross) of Schenectady and Elizabeth B. Isabella (Thomas Bethel) of Golden, CO, a brother; Anthony Isabella, a sister and his adored grandchildren; Isabella Laugen, Lillian Laugen, Livia Weiss and Eleanor Bethel. John was also excited about his 5th grandchild due in September, Isla Susan Isabella. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 6, 2017 at 11 am at St Stephens Episcopal Church, 1935 The Plaza, Schenectady, NY 12309 with Rev. James McDonald officiating. Relatives and friends are invited to attend John's services. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in John's memory to St. Peters Hospice Inn, 319 S Manning Blvd; Albany, New York 12208.
