John "Jack" Le Gere died Thursday morning June 29, 2006 at his home in Rotterdam. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Charles and Margaret (Ballmes) Le Gere. A self employed carpenter for many years Jack retired from Niskayuna School district in 1989. He was an Army veteran of WW II and a member of Immaculate Conception Church. Jack was predeceased in 1993 by his wife of 34 years Janet (Smith) Le Gere and was also predeceased by four brothers, Charles, Richard, Robert and George Le Gere and a sister Juanita McDonald. Survivor's include his five children, Jeffrey G. Le Gere of Glenville, Jacques R. Le Gere of Ballston Lake , Jacqueline Le Gere Ingalls, Jennifer Le Gere Pascarella, and Jeannette M. Le Gere all of Rotterdam, ten grandchildren, six brothers, Raymond Le Gere of Duanesburg, Donald Le Gere of Rotterdam, Frank Le Gere of Rotterdam, Kenneth Le Gere of Ballston Spa, James Le Gere and Edward Le Gere both of Scotia, a sister Dorothy Heaney of Rotterdam and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday morning July 3, 2006 at 10:45 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY followed at 11:30 am at Immaculate Conception Church, Bradt Street, Schenectady where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Monday morning from 8:45 am to 10:45 am prior to the funeral service. Interment will be in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
