Joanne M Griffin (Pasquariello)

Joanne M. Griffin passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021. She was born on April 13, 1940, in Schenectady, NY. She was the daughter of the late Stephen and Lita Pasquariello. She was a graduate of the former Draper High School in Schenectady, Mildred Elley Business School, Albany, NY and SCCC. She was a secretary for GE Research and Development Center until her marriage to Peter Griffin. When their children were of middle and high school age, Joanne returned to work at GE’s R&D, now Global Research, retiring in 2000.

Joanne is survived by her husband of 60 years, Peter, her beloved children, daughter Sharon (Jim) Janson; son Scott (Gina) Griffin; cherished grandchildren Jim (Catie Mahoney) Janson and Sarah (Meghan) Janson-Ideman; and her sister, Elaine McNeilly. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Mary Jane Minacci and brother-in-law, John McNeilly.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday morning February 18th 8:30 to 9:30 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY, with a mass of Christian Burial, to be celebrated by the Rev. Jerome Gingras at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 400 Saratoga Rd., Glenville, NY, at 10 am.

Private Interment to follow, at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna, NY.

Joanne lived her life always caring for everyone else and placing her own needs last. She cherished time with her family and her many friends. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude’s Place, P.O. Box 50, Memphis TN 38105, or a charity of one’s choice.
