April 24, 1945 — September 5, 2024
Jomarie Tompkins, 79, of Schenectady passed away at home with her loving family on September 5, 2024. Born in Newburgh, NY, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Nellie (Smith) Ackerman.
She was a home maker. Joan was a member of Eddy Senior Care. She loved family. Joan was passionate about Elvis, watching General Hospital, texting and enjoyed games.
Joan is predeceased by her two husbands and her two children Victoria Roberts and Will Matay as well as her siblings.
She is survived by her two children JoAnn Weddle (Mike) and Arlene Matay as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Services for Jomarie will be Wednesday at 11AM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. A visitation will be from 10-11AM.
Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Glenville
