Joan Marie Syron

Joan Marie Syron was called unto eternal life October 2, 2006 with her loving family by her side. Born in Schenectady she was the daughter of the Late Willard and Mary Bouck. Joan was also predeceased by her sister Libby Kamer and brothers, Willard Jr., Gardner and Clinton Bouck. Joan was a former Surgical Technician at St Clare's Hospital before becoming a homemaker who devoted her entire life to her family, providing them with care and comfort beyond any expectations. She was a member of St Madeleine Sophie Church and was a talented crafter and painter. She loved gardening and playing the organ. Joan is survived by her loving husband of fifty years, Joseph B. Syron, a daughter Janice Syron of Greenfield, MA, two sons, Jeffrey (Katie) Syron of Rotterdam and Joseph (Barb) Syron of Cobleskill, five grandsons, Nick, Trevor and Stephen Syron all of Guilderland and Joshua and Brandan Syron of Cobleskill, a sister Katie Jiminez and a brother Leon (Gus) Bouck both of Rotterdam, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday morning October 6, 2006 at 10 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5 to 8 pm. Interment in Schenectady Memorial Park. Contribution in her memory to Community Hospice, 1411 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12308. Joan wishes to thank her family for all there support and love during her illness, and to all her friends for there prayers, visits and cards. You will always be in her heart.
