Jo Anne E Williams

Jo Anne E. Williams, 56, passed away early on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn. Born in Jamaica, Jo Anne was the daughter of the late Harry and Winnifred (Wallace) Meghoo. Jo Anne attended SCCC, where she earned two Associate's Degrees. She worked as manager of Regina Check Cashing for many years. Jo Anne was a member of The Society for Creative Anachronism, as well as St. George's Episcopal Church. A fierce friend and true lover of life, Jo Anne enjoyed music, especially her all-time favorite artist, Elvis. One of Jo Anne's ultimate pastimes was visiting Disney World, where she spent many vacations with her family. She will be remembered by all who knew her for her phenomenal sense of humor. Besides her parents, Jo Anne was predeceased by one brother, Patrick Hylton. She leaves behind her loving husband, James R. Williams, son, Stephen J. Williams (Sandra) and grandchildren, Kaira and Patrick Williams of Schenectady, her son, Jason R. Williams (fiancé Tamara Webster) of Albany and one brother, Richard Meghoo of San Fransisco, CA A celebration of her life will be held in the near future at a date and time to be announced.
