Jerry Suburro

Jerry Suburro (Samborin) 100 of Rotterdam died Friday evening October 3, 2008 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late Frank and Philomena Saburro. A machinist for the General Electric Company, Jerry retired in the late 1960's. An entrepreneur, Jerry owned and operated several businesses in Schenectady; he was a true Jack of all trades. He was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Church, the ? century of the General Electric and was an avid Yankee fan. Jerry was predeceased in 1966 by his first wife Lena Gentile and in 1994 by his second wife Laura Ossenfort. Surrvivor's include his children, Anthony Samborin (Rosemary) and Phyllis Lincoln both of Rotterdam, his step-daughters, Marlene Nearly (John) and Patricia Andrews (Lou) both of Schenectady, brothers Michael Saburro (Frances) of Schenectady and Fred Saburro (Ida) of Rotterdam,5 grandchildren,5 step-grandchildren,6 great grandchildren , several step-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning October 7th, 2008 at 11 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady. A calling hour will precede the service at the funeral home.
