Jeanne M. Hopkins, 82, of Lawn Avenue Rotterdam died at home on Tuesday July 17, 2007. Born in Mechanicville, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Elinor (Lake) Button. She was a graduate of Mechanicville High School. Jeanne was employed as an Office Clerk in the Accounting Department of Schenectady Plymouth until retirement. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Schenectady and was a member of its Altar Guild. Jeanne was a member of the Rotterdam Senior Citizens, the OES #271 George Hope Chapter, and volunteered serving dinners at the City Mission in Schenectady. She was past president of the Rotterdam Little League Auxiliary, the Rotterdam Babe Ruth Little League Auxiliary, and the Service League at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. Jeanne is predeceased by one sister- Elenor M. Brown and one brother H. Franklin Button. She is survived by her loving husband Francis O. Hopkins whom she married June 22, 1947, three sons William F. Hopkins (Margaret) of Horseheads, NY. Robert J. Hopkins of River Vale, NJ and Douglas H. Hopkins ( Patricia) of Rotterdam, one sister Alice L. Meier of Beverly Hills, Fl., also survived by 5 Grandchildren- James Hopkins, Christopher Hopkins, Jeffrey Hopkins, Megan Hopkins and Michael Hopkins as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Saturday 11AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church 1911 Fairview Avenue in Schenectady. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be Friday evening 5-7PM at Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Internment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park in Colonie.
