Jean M. Englehart, 96, of Rotterdam passed away peacefully at the Baptist Health and Rehabilitation Center in Scotia on Tuesday June 20, 2017. Raised in Mechanicville, NY, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Emily(George) LeVinus. Jean attended Mechanicville Junior and Senior High School. She devoted her life to raising a family and being a homemaker. Jean was a member of the Rotterdam United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the Rebekah Lodge for over 50 years serving as a past state officer. Jean also belonged to the Rotterdam Senior Citizens and the Rotterdam Elks LORES. She is predeceased by her loving husband Raymond Englehart whom she married May 29, 1941, her daughter in law Marilyn Englehart and her brother Richard LeVinus. Jean is survived by her three loving sons Raymond Englehart (Darlene) of Rotterdam, Albert Englehart (Diann) of Princetown and Richard Englehart of Latham. She is also survived by five loving grandchildren Alina Bobar, Todd Englehart, Amy Badger, April Englehart and Julie Ahl as well as five great grandchildren Abigail Plummer, Carlee Badger, Emily Plummer, Jacob Bobar and Alexandra Bobar. Jean is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Jean will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours by request. Interment will be in Schenectady Memorial Park in Rotterdam. Contributions can be made in Jean's memory to the charity of one's choice.
