Jean A Hesler

Jean Anne Hesler 79 of Schenectady died Sunday morning July 8th at St Clare's Hospital after a long illness. Born on Helderberg Avenue in Schenectady, Jean was the daughter of the late Frederick C. and Mary (Dunn) Hesler. A graduate of Mont pleasant High School, Jean received her Bachelor's degree at the College of St Rose and later received her master's degree in teaching at SUNY Oneonta. For more than 40 years Jean taught for the Draper School District before her retirement in the late 1980's. She was a life member of the Immaculate Conception Church. Jean was predeceased by her twin sister Jane D. Hesler and sister Elizabeth Mott (late Donald) and brothers, John , Joseph , James (Late Janet), Charles and Edward Hesler. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Mary Ryan ( Late Robert) of Scotia, Frederick C. Hesler Jr.( Virginia) of Hegeman, William Hesler (Beverly) of Guilderland , Thomas Hesler (Rita) of Guilderland ,Anna Nealon (Late John) of Scotia, Dorothy Hesler of Schenectady and Agnes Durocher (Arthur) of Schenectady, her sister-in-laws, Alfreda Hesler of Scotia, Evelyn Hesler of Rotterdam and Catherine Hesler of Rotterdam and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday morning July 11th at 9:15am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY followed at 10 am at Immaculate Conception Church, Bradt Street, Schenectady where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5 to 8pm. Interment in St Joseph's cemetery in Schenectady, NY. The family would like to thank the emergency room staff, the critical care staff and the staff of the ACE unit at St. Clare's hospital for their excellent care and compassion given to Jean.
