Jean E. Furbeck,92, passed away on Saturday June 2nd at Kingsway Arms Nursing Home in Schenectady. Born in Princetown, Jean was the daughter of the late Stanley and Elmeda (Vedder) Furbeck. A 1943 graduate of Draper High School, Jean worked for the Draper School System as an educational secretary to the superintendent for over 37 years before her retirement in 1981. A life member of the Princetown Evangelical Presbyterian Church, she was a member of the Naomi Circle and Women's Ministries of the Church. She grew up on the Furbeck family farm and enjoyed traveling and photography. Jean was also a member of the NYS Association of Educational Office Professionals. Beside her parents, Jean was also predeceased by her sisters; Marjorie Waldron and Dorothy Furbeck, her brother; Herbert Furbeck and a nephew; Robert Waldron. She is survived by her nephew; Ronald D. Waldron (Denise) of Tribes Hill, NY, a grandniece; Brenna Phillips(Keith) of Georgia, 2 great grandnephews; Ryan and Ian Phillips of Georgia and many dear friends and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 7th at 1:30 pm at the Princetown Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 3662 Giffords Church Road, Duanesburg, NY 12056. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A visitation for Jean will be held on Wednesday evening June 6th from 5 to 7 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. Interment will be in Schenectady Memorial Park in Rotterdam, NY Contributions may be made to Princetown Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Jean's memory.
