Jean N Didonna

Jean N. DiDonna 81 of Rotterdam died Thursday morning July 17th at Ellis Hospital after a long illness. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Elliott and Jessie (Myers) Ostrander and a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. Jean had worked for Mohawk National Bank in Schenectady for over 8 years. A true homemaker, Jean was devoted to her family and enjoyed Square Dancing and knitting. She was predeceased by her brother John Ostrander and two sisters, Edith Loeber and Medora Sable. She was the beloved wife for 62 years of Albert J. DiDonna who she married November 11, 1945. Jean is survived by her husband Albert of Rotterdam and her four children, Albert E. DiDonna (Roseann) of Bedford, IN, Janice M. Iannibelli (Late Michael) of Unadilla, NY, Barbara J Abbatiello (Robert) of Niskayuna and Gail M. DiDonna of Rotterdam, 7 grandaughters,1 grandson , 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Monday morning July 21st, 2008 at 9:15 am at Bond Funeral Home, Inc., Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady followed at 10am at Immaculate Conception Church, Bradt Street, Schenectady where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 pm. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Park.
