Jean B Bruhns

January 21, 1936 — April 29, 2008

Jean B Bruhns 72 of Rotterdam died Tuesday evening April 29th at Ellis Hospital after a long illness. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Mildred (Copping) Gannon and a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School. A homemaker, Jean had worked for several years for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, the New York State Thruway Authority and Mohawk Valley Library Association. Jean was a member of Christ Church of the Hills and a former choir member and a former volunteer at Mariaville Volunteer Fire Department. Jean was avid Yankee fan and enjoyed Casino's and Bowling. Jean is survived by her children, Brenda Levey (Paul) of Salem, Laura Birnbach (Edward) of Rotterdam, Robert Bruhns of Rotterdam and David Bruhns of Phoenix, Az., five grandchildren, Megan Konik, Mackenzie Levey, Rachael Konik, Taylor Levey and Eric Bruhns, two brothers, Robert Gannon(Gwelda) of Tennessee and Thomas Gannon(Marilyn) of Rotterdam and a sister, Barbara Staats (Marvin) of Westerlo. Funeral services will be private on Friday morning May 2, 2008 at 11am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. Interment in Viewland Cemetery, Rotterdam, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to American Liver Foundation, 75 Maiden Lane, Suite 603, NY, NY 10038
