Janet E. (Baker) Marx 79 died Friday morning December 23, 2005 at Albany Medical Center after a long illness. Born in York, PA, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Edith (Bowmaker) Baker and a graduate of Nott Terrace High School. Janet was a former employee of the General Electric Company and had also work for the Daily Gazette for many years before retiring. Janet was predeceased by three of her siblings, Alice Horvath, Marion Sherry and Ira Baker. A member of St. Josephs Church in Schenectady, Janet was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who is survived by her husband for 56 years Frank J. Marx, her five children, Susan M. Jaronski (Thomas) of Malta. Nancy A. Brassard (Stephen) of Rotterdam, Theresa M. Maslanka (Donald) of Niskayuna, Douglas R. Marx (Theresa) of Scotia and Donald G. Marx of Rotterdam, a brother Richard Baker (Julia) of Guilderland, a sister Barbara Hofmann of Rotterdam, eight grandchildren, Jennifer Minehan, Lisa Jaronski, Stephen Brassard Jr., Jason Brassard, Kimberly Brassard, Kristin Carter, Scott Maslanka and Katherine Maslanka, four great grandchildren, Kylie, Coby, Olivia and Luke and several nieces and nephews. A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning December 28, 2005 at 10 am at St. Josephs Church, 225 Lafayette St., Schenectady, NY There will be no calling hour by request. Interment will follow in Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY. Contributions may be made in her memory to St Josephs Church, 225 Lafayette St, Schenectady, NY 12305 or to the Shrine of North American Martyrs, in Auiesville, NY
