Jane F. Luther

Jane Luther, of Burnt Hills, New York, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2026.

Jane was a woman of strength, determination, and independence. She lived with the belief that if something needed to be done, she would find a way to do it—never afraid to figure things out on her own. She carried herself with resilience, a practical mind, and a quiet toughness that defined her life. Jane was someone who faced challenges head-on and showed those around her what it meant to keep going, no matter what.

Above all, Jane loved her family deeply. They were the center of her world, and she took great pride in each and every one of them. Her love was steady, strong, and ever-present, and it will continue to live on through the family she cherished so much.

She found joy in creating and sharing her talents through crafting, a passion that brought her both peace and connection. More than anything, she valued the people in her life and the time spent with those she loved.

Jane Luther is survived by her loving husband, Kurt Luther; her son, Stephen Luther (Ashley); and her daughter, Jodi Sellie (Kytten). She was a proud grandmother to Peter T. Palmier (Maribeth), Camrin Gagnon, Cheyanne Luther, Skylar, Landon, and Owen Antalek, and a cherished great-grandmother to David H. Palmier and Daniel Fraijo III.

She is also survived by her beloved cousin, Jean Kelly—her cherished “Golden Girl” and crafting partner. Jean and Jane shared every step of life together since childhood; their bond was unbreakable, and crafting kept them especially close. She is survived by Jean’s family, with a special thank you to Sueann Walters.

She is further survived by her brother, Chester Kepner.

A celebration of life will be held on 16 April 2026 from 4:00pm - 7:00 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Schenectady.
