Jane S Boehmer

Jane S. "MOMMER" Boehmer of Campbell Ave died on Saturday March 7 at home after a lengthy illness. Born in Schenectady she was the daughter of the Late William and Lucy Salmonsen and the sister of the late Ann Good. Jane worked at the General Electric Company, Liggetts drug store, Mack drug store, McLanes drug store, New York Dept of Tax and Finance and the City of Schenectady in the bureau of vital statistics as registrar. She was Past Royal Matron and Past District Deputy of Acacia Court Order of the Amaranth; a member of George Hope Chapter #271, Order of the Eastern Star, a member of Cyrene temple and Daughters of the Nile. She was active in politics and served as lOth ward republican committee chairwoman and worked on the polls for many years. She was a member of Rotterdam United Methodist Church. Jane is survived by her husband of 55 years, Howard; her daughter Patricia Peek and husband Arnold; three grandchildren, Sheryl Weidman of Rotterdam, Sean Riccio of Ballston Spa, and Darren Riccio of Schenectady; and six great-grandchildren, Noah and Mary Weidman, Doreen and Samantha Riccio, Darrian and Madison Riccio; her niece Wineford Martin and husband Gary of Warrensburg; her nephew William Good of Warrensburg. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday morning March 10, 2009 at 10 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY, Calling hours will be held at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 8 pm. Interment in Vale Cemetery, Schenectady, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union St, Schenectady, N Y 12308
