Jana A. Harris

Jana A. Harris passed away peacefully December 22,2023 with her granddaughter Shelby by her side at St. Peters Hospital.

Born Joan Ann Bryniarski to parents Stanley and Natalie Bryniarski, survived by daughters Patricia (Kenneth) Dupont, Deborah Burrows, and brother Stanley (Stephanie) Bryniarski, grandchildren John and Shelby Burrows and Melissa Aldrich, great grandchildren Natalee and Alan Aldrich and Isabella Byrne.

Jana was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School and then employed by General Electric. She was also a Real Estate Agent and then an Executive Secretary for New York State until her retirement.

Jana loved to garden and was a lover of all animals. Close to her heart were her cats and a horse she had rescued, named Riley.

She loved to sing and had a show on Public Access Channel for many years. She valued her friends and had a special friendship with Bonnie and also Jacky, who now has Jana’s cats.

Jana immensely enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and spent numerous hours doing various activities with them, including horseback riding lessons with granddaughter Shelby and later Natalee. She had a special place in her heart for grandson John, who spent numerous hours helping to maintain her property.

Jana will be sorely missed by her daughters and her grandchildren, as well as by her friends and other relatives.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2,2023 from 11-1PM followed by a memorial service at 1PM at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Schenectady.
