James R Ostrander

James R. Ostrander February 1, 1947 - February 22, 2018 Born and raised in Schoharie County, Jim graduated from Richmondville High School in 1965. Shortly after, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and completed Military Police School as an expert marksman. After a tour in Frankfort, Germany, he volunteered to serve in Viet Nam. He was awarded The Bronze Star for his Valor. Throughout his career, he worked in many management positions. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda (Haag) Ostrander, his daughter, Leanne Ostrander (Jeff Jones), and grandchildren, Donovan Roberts and Darienne Roberts. Graveside services only on June 2, 2018 at Slate Hill Cemetery, Sharon Springs, N.Y.
