James M Malone Jr

James M. Malone Jr., 84, of Schenectady, passed away at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville. Born in Chicago, IL, James was the son of the late James and Daisy Mae (Troten) Malone. A veteran of the United States Army, James later went on to earn his Doctorate degree from RPI, later working as a computer programmer for United Steel in Chicago. Some of James' favorite things included reading, the study of transportation, train magazines and listening to jazz, pop and orchestra music. He was a member of the Royal Arch Masons, Masonic-York Rite, Scottish Rite, Order of the Eastern Star and the Beukendaal Lodge. James is survived by his devoted friend and partner Linda Malone, his step daughter Elizabeth Dingman of Joplin, MO, as well as three grandchildren. A memorial service for James will be held Friday November 22 at 6pm at Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady. There will be a visitation from 4-6pm prior to the service. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. Inurnment will be in Saratoga National Cemetery.
