Jacquelyn L. Bolon

October 15, 1944 — September 18, 2025

Latham, NY

Jacquelyn L. Bolon, 80, of Latham, New York, passed away at home on September 18th, 2025. She was born in Meadville, PA on October 15th, 1944 to James and Mildred Field. Jacquelyn grew up in the Seagertown area, where she graduated high school and met her husband, Roger Bolon. She moved to Buffalo NY where her daughter was born and then moved to Ballston Lake where her son was born. After starting their family, Jacquelyn dedicated herself to raising her two children as a stay-at-home mom. She later transitioned her skills into a successful bookkeeping and tax business. In 1985 she divorced and moved to Duanesburg before settling into her final home in Latham. She then enjoyed a long career in the NY State Education Department, where she worked for 20 years before her retirement.

Jacquelyn loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing cards or board games, and exploring the outdoors. An avid gardener with a remarkable green thumb, Jacquelyn also had a passion for animals, boating, and long drives through the countryside. She'd often chase storms or simply get lost for the heck of it, enjoying the journey wherever it led. She often spent her evenings relaxing and watching her favorite TV shows, Jeopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and the Weather Channel.

She was predeceased by her parents, James and Mildred Field, and her siblings Richard Field and Tony Knuth. She is survived by her two children, Rhonda McElroy, Brian (Margaret) Bolon, her grandchildren; Nicole (Thomas) O’Neill, Sammy McElroy, Brianna Bolon, Connor (Cecelia) McElroy and Brendan Bolon, her ex-husband Roger Bolon and her siblings Diane Williams, Tina Anderton and Robert Field.
