Jacob Walz

Jacob E. Walz 101 formerly of Pauline Avenue died Friday November 12, 2004 at Kingsway Arms Nursing Home. Born in Ottenbronn, Germany Jacob moved to the area in 1923 from Germany. He worked for the General Electric Company for over 42 years retiring in 1966.He was a member of the GE ? century club, the Schenectady Turnverein, a former President of the Schenectady Football Club and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Jacob was predeceased in 1993 by his wife Katherine (Harsch) Walz and was also predeceased by his son Gerhardt W. Walz. Survivor's include his daughter Esther Folmar of Gloversville, four grandchild, seven great grandchildren and several other relatives still in Germany. Funeral services will be held Monday morning November 15, 2004 at 11 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady with a calling hour being held at the funeral home from 10 to 11 am prior to the funeral service. Internment in Zion Lutheran Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church, 35 Furman Street, Schenectady, NY 12304
