Irene L Rowbotham

Irene L. Rowbotham 81 of Glenville died Thursday morning August 31, 2006 at Ellis Hospital after a long illness. Born in Nazareth, Pa., Irene was the daughter of Sadie Longenbach of Bethlehem, PA and the late Asher Longenbach. She was a 1946 graduate of the Allentown School of Nursing and had worked for several years as a nurse at St Clare's Hospital. Irene later worked as an operations analyst at the General Electric Research and Development Center for 37 years before retiring in 1987. She was a member of the GE Women's Club, the ? century club and a former member of the Lake George Power Squadron. Irene also enjoyed square dancing, boating and camping. Beside he mother, Irene is also survived by her husband of over 56 years, Albert E. Rowbotham who she married September 4, 1949, a son Glenn A. Rowbotham of Northville, a brother Elwood Longenbach of Easton, Pa. and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon September 5, 2006 at 12:30 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 11:30 to 12:30 prior to the funeral service. Interment in Saratoga National Cemetery.
