Ira B. Harding,93, passed away on Tuesday evening February 23, 2021 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady,

Born in Brooklyn, NY,on 3/22/1927, Ira was raised by his cousin Marion(Harding) and Henry Fitzgerald and was the biological son of Ira and Catherine (Haefling) Harding.

A graduate of Nott Terrace High School, Ira served with the United States Marine Corps from 1945 to 1946 and was a member of Post 1485 of the American Legion. A welding inspector for George Fuller Company at the Empire State Plaza in Albany, NY for over 10 years, Ira had also worked for the General Electric Company for many years and for Sunmark Federal Credit Union.

Predeceased in 2007 by his beloved wife of 59 years, Rose (Giagiacumo) Harding, Ira is survived by his sons Guy S. Harding (Georgia Giacomo) of Schenectady and Clay W. Harding (Deborah) of Schenectady, his grandchildren David Harding, Rebecca Harding, Corry Ann Harding and Adam Harding(Jammie) and his great grandchildren Lillian and Draven.


Services will be held March 20, 2021 at 10 AM at St. Cyril's Cemetery in Rotterdam with military honors

In lieu of Flowers contributions may be made in Ira's Memory to the Northeast Kidney Foundation, 22 Colvin Ave, Albany, NY 12206
