Ingeborg Gifford

Ingeborg Gifford, 87, of Princetown passed away suddenly on Tuesday December 30, 2025 after battling several health issues. Born in the Bronx, she was the only child of the late Kurt and Albine (Filler) Haslberger.

In the early 1950's she moved with her parents to a farm in Princetown where she lived for the rest of her life. Through the farm she met her husband Warren. They recently celebrated 65 years of marriage. She was a 1955 graduate of Draper High School. She then went to work as a legal secretary until she left to have her children. After they were in school, Ingeborg was employed for 28 years as a secretary for the Schalmont School District which she loved.

Ingeborg was a member of Christ Church of the Hills. She was a former deacon and elder of the church. Ingeborg was a founding member of the Princetown Seniors. She served on several Princetown boards and was an election poll worker for many years. She enjoyed farming, bowling, snowmobiling and going to auctions and garage sales. Inge took great pride in her grandchildren and attended all their sporting events with joy.

Along with her parents she is predeceased by her grandson Daniel Gifford and her favorite dog Julie.

Ingeborg is survived by her husband Warren Gifford, her son Donald Gifford, her daughter Karen Lewandowski (Jeffrey), two grandchildren Jenna Pinkney (Austin) and Dalton Lewandowski as well as one great grandchild Alina Pinkney. She is also survived by several cousins and many nieces and nephews. She will also be sorely missed by her grand dogs Olive and Ivy who she loved to feed treats.

Funeral Services for Ingeborg will be on Tuesday January 6, 2025 at 12 noon at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. A Visitation will be from 10-12 prior.

Spring interment in Grove Cemetery in Delanson.
