Henry A Tommasone

Henry A. Tommasone, 84, of Rotterdam passed away on Thursday June 21st at his home surrounded by his children. Born in Rotterdam, Henry was the son of the late Antonio and Philomena (Tessitore) Tommasone. An auto body mechanic for over 30 years for Northway Toyota, Henry was a former pit crew member at Fonda Speedway and a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church. A true Mr. Fix it, Henry enjoyed fishing, gardening and cooking. Predeceased in 2000 by his beloved wife of 46 years Florence (VonStetina) Tommasone, Henry was also predeceased by his daughter Yvonne Rockstroh. He is survived by his children; Victoria Handy (Joseph) of Rotterdam, Michael Tommasone of Rotterdam and Mark Tommasone (Christine) of Amsterdam, his son-in-law; Jim Rockstroh of Rotterdam ,as well as 6 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday June 26th at 12 noon at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY, relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Henry's memory to Community Hospice, 445 New Karner Rd, Albany, NY 12205.
