Helmut R Hunsicker

Helmut R. Hunsicker, 95, formerly of Princetown, NY passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Saratoga Center for Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing. Born in Rothselberg, Germany in 1919, Helmut was the son of the late Rudolph and Karoline (Biedinger) Hunsicker. Helmut was a veteran of the US Army, serving in World War II as a Corporal. He was a charter member and volunteer firefighter with the Plotterkill Fire Department. Helmut was also a member of the National Farmer's Organization, serving as Secretary of the local chapter. Helmut ran his own dairy farm, Pine Lawn Farms, in Princetown, NY for 36 years. Helmut was predeceased in 2007 by his wife, Lieselotte (Knaup) Hunsicker whom he was married to for 53 years. He is also predeceased by his brother, Ewald Hunsicker and sister, Elfrieda Jorgensen. Helmut leaves behind his children, Lisa M. Hutchinson (David) of Clifton Park, John R. Hunsicker of Knox, Theresa L. Wasula (Michael) of West Sand Lake and Michael R. Hunsicker of Schenectady. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren, Falon Hunsicker, Ryan Hutchinson (Sara), Nicole Hunsicker, Justin Hunsicker, Lauren Coyle (Joshua), Eric Hunsicker and his great granddaughter, Lauren Jackson Coyle as well as his niece Diane Tierney (Kevin) of MA, and two nephews, Keith Jorgensen of MA and Gary Jorgensen of FL. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 4th at 9:30 am at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady. A visitation will be held Friday evening, April 3rd from 5-7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna.
