It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Heidi E. Sinclair of Schenectady, NY. Heidi passed away on August 12, 2026.

Heidi was born in Queens, NY to the late John and E. Beth (Hall) Sinclair. She is survived by her brother, Jeremy and his wife Hope Sinclair along with their children, Noah Sinclair, Jenna Ellsworth and Jason Ellsworth as well as extended family members who will miss her dearly.

She graduated from Scotia – Glenville High School and continued her education to receive an associate’s degree in human services. Heidi held various positions in the Human Services field. She spent much of her life employed by Wildwood programs in the Capital District. She cared deeply for her clients and made positive impacts to hundreds of people.

Heidi was an accomplished artist and always had a deep love of animals. In her later years she found fulfillment in taking up causes that positively impacted animals in need. She had various pets of her own and found great joy and comfort in their companionship. Her caring heart and compassion were a meaningful part of who she was.

Though her time with us was far too short, the memories we shared and the love she gave will forever remain in our hearts. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love and kindness she so freely gave to others and the animals she cherished.

A private memorial service for her family will be held at a later date.
