Hazel Lee Briggs Tessitore

Hazel Lee (Jane)Briggs Tessitore,83, of Schenectady died suddenly on Friday May 18, 2007 at Ellis Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Carmen, NC,on September 13, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Pearson and Elminor Briggs. Hazel served in the US Navy. She was employed for many years as a waitress for the Ritz Restaurant and the Van Curler Hotel in Schenectady. Hazel is predeceased by one brother Odell Briggs. She is survived by her husband, Dominick Tessitore, whom she married on November 19, 1950; four children Linda McCutcheon (Tim) of Schenectady, Ralph Tessitore ( Bonnie) of Rotterdam, Douglas Tessitore (Christine) of Jupiter, Fl., and Charles Tessitore ( Teresa) of Rotterdam, two brothers Haulk Briggs ( Dorothy) and Ross Briggs both of Greeneville, TN, one brother in law Patsy Tessitore (Nickie)of Niskayuna, also survived by 5 Grandchildren-Katie McCutcheon, Bradley McCutcheon, Ralph Tessitore Jr., Kiley Tessitore and Christopher Tessitore as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Tuesday 11:30AM at the Bond Funeral Home Broadway and Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend. A Calling Hour will be Tuesday 10:30AM-11:30AM at the funeral home. Internment will be in Memory's Garden in Colonie.
