Harry Garofallou, Jr., 80, passed away at his home on Monday, July 6, 2015. Harry was born in Huntington, NY to Harry and Hilda (Okerlird) Garofallou. A US Army veteran and member of the Dade City (FL) Moose Lodge, Harry was a driver for Larned and Sons for over 30 years. Harry is predeceased by his wife, Virginia (Sitzer) Garofallou and his step-son, Michael Parmatier. He leaves behind his son, James Garofallou of Clifton Park and daughter, Elizabeth David (Mark) of Guilderland, his brother, James Garofallou of Florida, sisters, Gretia Garofallou, Eleanor Lederman and Barbara Ranjo, grandchildren, Ashley Parmatier, Michael Parmatier, Lisa Bouck ,Sean Bouck and Alora Garofallou and great granddaughter, Bella Parmatier, as well as several nieces and nephews. A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, July 10 at 12pm at Evergreen Memorial Park, 2150 Central Ave., Colonie. In lieu of flowers, donations in Harry's name can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Rd., Ste 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
