Harold "Harry" W. Rowe, of Rotterdam died Saturday February 28, 2009 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Schenectady, NY on October 22, 1932, he was the son of Stanley and Geraldine (Telerico) Steck. Harry served in the US Army as a Sergeant from 1950-1953 receiving honors. He was a lifelong area resident of Rotterdam. Harry was employed for 50 years for Morlock News Distributor as a Merchandiser. He was also employed for Price Chopper for 25 years retiring at 63 years old. Harry married his High School Sweetheart the late Marilyn Stoll whom he loved very much. Harry liked to work around the house and when he didn't, he liked to watch sports, news, Westerns and Play cards. He always had a smile and a good word to say for everyone. Harry was a kind and gentle soul who will be dearly missed. He is survived by three children- Lawrence Rowe ( Carol) of Rotterdam, Lorrie Allen ( Kent) of Rotterdam and John Rowe ( Marlena) of Branson, Missouri, one brother Edward Rowe ( Peggy) of Rotterdam, also survived by Grandchildren- Jason (Michelle), Stacy(David), Shawn( Jonelle), Joe, Steven, Julieann, Hope, Victoria and Katee and several great Grandchildren- Alysha, Brennan, Kile, Kory, Kayla, Julieann ,Christian, Makayla, Karleigh and Cora as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral Services will be Wednesday 10AM at Bethel Full Gospel Church 3699 Guilderland Avenue Rotterdam. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There will be no calling hours by request. Internment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Schenectady. Contributions can be made in Harry's memory to Community Hospice 1411 Union Street Schenectady, NY 12308 or tot the Bethel Full Gospel Church.
