Grace E Fountain

Grace Fountain 87 of Schenectady died Tuesday evening August 28th at the Avenue Nursing Home after a short illness. Born in Claverack, NY, Grace was the daughter of the late Vernon and C. Blanche (Hoffman) Bashford. A homemaker, Graces life centered on her family and was a member of Rotterdam United Methodist Church. She was the wife for 48 years to the late Benjamin Fountain who died in 1985. Grace was also predeceased by her two son-in-laws, Raymond and Chester Bunn and three brothers, James, Arthur and Leroy Bashford. Survivors include her daughters, Bonnie Bunn of Rotterdam and Beverly Bunn of Edinburgh, NY, a brother Robert Bashford of Troy, two sisters, Alice Curthoys of Florida and C. Larenea Monty of Rotterdam, six grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday afternoon August 31st at 2 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 1 to 2 pm prior to the funeral service. Interment in Schenectady Memorial Park.
