Gladys S Zickler (Ottman)

Gladys S. Zickler, 105, passed away early Monday morning July 11th at Baptist health Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Rotterdam, Gladys was the daughter of the late Edwin and Daisy (Osterhout) Ottman and sister of the late Seward Ottman and Catherine Bell. A graduate of the former Draper High School, Gladys received her Bachelor's and Masters Degree's from the State University of New York at Albany in education and guidance. Gladys worked as a teacher at Draper School for over 49 years before her retirement. An avid bowler and member of the Schenectady Women's Bowling Hall of Fame, she was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Rebecca Lodge and the Schenectady Amateur Radio Association. Gladys is survived by her niece Sharon Bell of Peru, NY. A graveside service will be held at Viewland Cemetery in Rotterdam on Thursday July 14th at 2:30 pm, friends are invited to attend.
