Gladys M. Miranda

Gladys M. Miranda, 77, of Rotterdam passed away on Friday June 21, 2024 at the Glendale Home in Scotia. Born in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Ramon and Felicita (Martinez) Ruiz.

She was employed for many years as a factory worker for Campbell Plastics in Schenectady. She also worked at Hispanic Outreach in Schenectady.

Gladys was a devout Catholic and was a member of the Shrine Church of Our Lady of the Americas in Albany. She served on the pastoral council for the church and was dedicated to volunteering and serving those in local hospitals.

She is survived by her children Willie Miranda (Shari), Brian Miranda (Allison), and Christopher Miranda (Lindsay) her brother Cesar Ruiz, her sister Lizette Santiago as well as four grandchildren Christine, Julia, Matthew and Quinten. Gladys is also survived by four nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of her life will be on Wednesday evening at 7PM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. A Visitation will be held from 4-7PM prior to the service.

Private inurnment will be at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Niskayuna.
