Gladys E Henderson (Flower)

Gladys E. Henderson, 82, formerly of Rotterdam passed away on Saturday December 9, 2017 with her family at her side. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Sweet) Flower. Gladys was a graduate of Mont Pleasant High School in Schenectady. She was a home maker. She was a member of the Lynnwood Reformed Church in Guilderland and volunteered at the church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. Gladys was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was the perfect mom. The Kids always came first. Gladys never complained about anything. She is predeceased by one grandchild Jeffrey Henderson and one brother John Flower. Gladys is survived by her loving husband of 63 years John J. Henderson whom she married July 24, 1954, three loving sons Keith Henderson (Judy) of Boytonville, NY, Kevin Henderson of Wright, NY and Kim Henderson (Karen) of Rotterdam. She is also survived by one loving sister Doris Wiley of Schenectady and three loving grandchildren-Christopher Henderson, Nicholas Henderson and Kami Hodgson (Jeffrey), four loving great grandchildren Jonah, Brooke, Raelynn and Hunter. Gladys is also survived by several loving friends and neighbors. Funeral Services for Gladys will be Wednesday December 13, 2017 at 1PM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Visitation will be 12-1PM prior to the service. Interment will be in Memory Gardens in Colonie. Contributions can be made in Gladys memory to Community Hospice 445 New Karner Road Albany, NY 12205.
