Gladys Deschenes

Gladys Hickey Deschenes 97 died Monday may 2, 2005 at St. Peter's Hospice in Albany, NY after a short illness. Born in Scotia, NY, Gladys was the daughter of the late Marcel and Grace (Keeler) Hickey. A homemaker, she had worked at the Army depot in Scotia during WWII. Gladys was predeceased in 1972 by her husband for 48 years Albert A. Deschenes. Survivors include her four children; Judith Roraback of Schenectady, Marjorie Oles of Burnt Hills, Albert Deschenes of Voorheesville and John Deschenes of Schenectady, 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday evening May 10, 2005 at 7 pm at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home from 5 to 7 pm prior to the memorial service. Internment will be private in Memory's Garden in Colonie. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in her memory to Mercy Care Life Center for the Lourdes Unit, 2 mercy care Lane, Guilderland, NY 12086
