Gertrude Aniolek Stachewicz, 94, formerly of Rotterdam entered into eternal life on Sunday May 18, 2008 at Castle Manor in Garland, Texas. Born in Rexford, NY she was the daughter of the late John and Frances (Kolka) Aniolek. Gertrude was employed as a Punch Press Operator for 3-M Company, formerly Mica Insulator in Schenectady for 23 years retiring in 1975. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Edward Joseph Stachewicz whom died in January 1983, and two brothers Stephen Angle and Joseph Angle as well as one sister Florence Mularz. Gertrude is the loving mother of Diane Koch of Ballston Spa, Lorraine Baker of Garland, Texas, Paul Stachewicz of Ballston Spa and Kim Savoie (Joseph) of Schenectady, one sister Lucille Aniolek (Angle) of Schenectady, also survived by 11 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Saturday May 24, 2008 at 8:15AM at the Bond Funeral Home followed by a Mass at 9AM at the Church of St. Adalbert Lansing Street in Schenectady. Relatives and Friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be Friday evening 6-8PM at the Funeral home. Internment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery in Rotterdam.Contributions can be in Gertrude's memory to the Restoration Fund of the Church of St. Adalbert's 550 Lansing Street Schenectady, NY 12303.
