Gerard (Jerry) D’Elisiis, 77, passed away on June 22, 2026, surrounded by his family. He was born on November 24, 1948 in Schenectady, NY to Arthur and Jean (Brickner) D’Elisiis. Husband of Donna J. D’Elisiis, Jerry was devoted to his ever-growing family.
He attended Mont Pleasant High School, class of 1966. Jerry was well known and respected in the Capital District for his automotive talents and expertise, specializing in transmissions. He was the recipient of numerous automotive awards and always enjoyed sharing his knowledge with others in the field. Jerry was an avid sports fan, especially the NY Yankees and Giants. At one time, he played semi-pro football with the Albany Metro Mallers.
Jerry was pre-deceased by his parents, as well as his brother Ronald D’Elisiis. In addition to his wife Donna, he is survived by his daughter Stacey D’Elisiis, his son Matthew D’Elisiis, his daughter-in-law Sarah D’Elisiis and his stepson Matt Kownack (Dominique). Jerry was “Papa” to his grandchildren Michael (Lydia) D’Elisiis, Gabrielle (Kyle) Waite, Adriana D’Elisiis, Mattia D’Elisiis, Matthew Kownack & Mason Kownack as well as his great-grandchildren Kolette Waite, Delanie Waite, Matthew Waite, Jack D’Elisiis, Rhiannon Magiera and Baby D’Elisiis coming soon. He is also survived by his ex-wife and good friend Carol L. D’Elisiis, sisters Lori (Al) Powell & Barbara (Joe) Rossi along with several nieces and nephews. We also can’t forget his beloved canine companion Kodiak.
A Celebration of Jerry's life will be Friday July 17, 2026, at 5PM at the Bond Funeral Home 1614 Guilderland Avenue Schenectady. Visitation will be from 3-5PM prior to the service.
