Geraldine Bowman

Geraldine Bowman, 62, of Schenectady passed away Saturday August 6, 2016 at Ellis Hospital. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Gerald Ray Bowman and Ann (Febry) Bowman of Schenectady. Geraldine was employed for 27 years in Food Service for OD Heck in Niskayuna. She had a deep love for her Lord. Geraldine was a member of the Bethel AME Church here in Schenectady. She was raised in Bethel Church and under her family served as a junior usher, attended Sunday school and sang in the church choir. Geraldine also shared her enjoyment of cooking with Bethel AME Church and the Salvation Army. She was a big jokester who enjoyed life and was always kindhearted toward others. Besides her mom, Geraldine is survived by four daughters Tanisha Denam of Schenectady, Myra Buchanan (Marquis) of Schenectady, Sheila Davis of Atlanta, GA and Naisia Coleman of Schenectady, also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as a host of cousins and friends. Funeral Services for Geraldine will be Wednesday August 10, 2016 at 1PM at the Bethel AME Church 540 Mumford Street Schenectady. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A calling hour will be 12-1PM prior at the church. Contributions can be made in Geraldine's memory to the Bethel AME Church 540 Mumford Street Schenectady, NY 12307.
