Gerald Lee

Gerald Hawkins Lee 87 of Rotterdam died Tuesday October 19, 2004 at Ellis Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Ballston Spa he was the son of the late Arthur and Georgiana (Hawkins) Lee. A graduate of Saratoga High School, Albany Business College and Bentley College, Gerald served with the Army Air Corps in the Pacific Theater during WWII. For over 42 years he worked for the General Electric Co. retiring as a Manager in Treasury Operations in 1978. Gerald was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church, the Elfun Society and the ? century club of the GE. Gerald is survived by his wife of 56 years Ruby (Ellis) Lee, 3 children; David A. Lee and wife Catherine of Springboro, OH , John E. Lee and wife Mary Rotterdam and Kathryn A. Lee of Delmar, 5 grandchildren: Jennifer Christopher, Jonathan, Alyssa and Daniel, a niece; Roberta VanDorn, and a nephew: Robert VanDorn. Gerald was also predeceased by his sister June VanDorn. Funeral Services will be held Friday morning October 22, 2004 at 10 am at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY. Calling hours will be held on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm .Internment in Greenridge Cemetery, Saratoga, NY.
