Gerald Coons

Gerald W. Coons, 81, of Schenectady died suddenly on December 24th at his home.

Born and educated in Keene, NY., Gerald was the son of the late Austin and Mabel (Moody) Coons.

A former employee at Schenectady Chemical, Gerald retired for Spectrum in Schenectady, NY as a Asbestos Air Monitor after many years with the company.

An avid bowler, Gerald was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Gerald is survived by his wife of 61 years Linda (Bruce) Coons who he married November 2, 1959, his 3 daughters Cindy Santoro (Late Paul) of Schenectady, Barbara Jones (Larry) of Schenectady and Donna Vanni of Las Vegas,NV, a sister Susan Allen of Peru, NY, 3 grandchildren Heather,Abigail and Zachary and 3 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held for Gerald at Haselton Cemetery in Wilmington, NY in the spring of 2021.
