George S Wintle

George Wintle, 95 years old, passed away December 16, 2021 after a short illness. George was born in Schenectady, NY the son of Raymond and Jane Wintle. Still employed at the time of his death, George worked for the State of New York in the Department of Taxation and Finance maintaining a longstanding passion for his job.

After graduating from Draper High School and serving in the US Army during WWII, he attended Syracuse University. A man of great wit and humor, George enjoyed friends and family, movies, and photography. He was a successful bodybuilder and his favorite vacation spot was always Ogunquit, ME.

He is predeceased by his sister Barbara Deschenes (Jack), his niece Linda Deschenes, and many of his closest friends. He is survived by his three nieces: Denice Suriano (Sherman), Jayne Bietka (Richard), and Christina Carolus (James), great nieces and nephews: Melissa Heinrichs (Jason), James Suriano (Garon), Christopher Cipriano (Helen), Samantha Robbins (Zach), Theresa Bietka, and 11 great-great nieces and nephews.
