George White

George E. (Bud) White, 93, passed away December 21, 2020. He was born April 24, 1927 to Leonard C White and Emma Harrison White in Carman, NY.

Bud graduated from Draper High School and enlisted in the US Navy where he served on ships in the South Pacific as a member of the Greatest Generation. He retired from the Rotterdam Police Dept in 1979 after serving 25 years. He was active for many years in Little League and Babe Ruth Baseball. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching the NY Mets.

Bud is survived by his brother, Ralph White, of Rotterdam, NY, special nieces Susan Ryan and Eileen Ryan Connolly and husband, Tom, special nephew Arthur "Skip" Ryan and wife, Carolyn. He is also survived by sisters-in law, Barbara White and Bobbi White, treasured cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Bud was predeceased by his brothers "Huck" and Jack, his sisters Dorothy and Joan Ryan and her husband, Art, and sister-in-law, Gerry White.

A celebration of George's life will be held on Friday April 16th from 11am to 12 noon at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, NY followed at 1:30 pm at Saratoga National Cemetery , Schuylerville, NY where military honors be held.
