George Arthur Leger, 48, passed away on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at his home in Princetown. Born in Schenectady, George was the son of the late Karen (Charette) Keco. George worked as a prep cook at Jonathan's in Duanesburg. George was always the life of the party who had the gift of making anyone smile even if they were feeling down. His family was his life and he loved animals. George always had a song in his heart and he would always help anyone in need. Crystal Lake was his favorite getaway; he felt very serene there and loved the solitude of the outdoors. He also enjoyed spending time in the recording studio with his brother and nephew at the tattoo shop. George is survived by his loving companion, Genevieve Mulyca of Princetown, brothers, Fred Leger (Debbie) of Scotia, Timothy Leger of Schenectady and John Dantz (Kimberly) of Schenectady, sister, Joy Leger Wright (Darryl) of Williamsburg, VA, cousin, Robbie G. Errichetto (Peggy) of Princetown as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 7 from 10am-12pm at Bond Funeral Home, 1614 Guilderland Ave., Schenectady, with a memorial service to follow at 12pm. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Inurnment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Schenectady. Memorial contributions in George's memory can be made to the ASPCA at www.aspca.org/donate.
