Garry L. Veeder 58 of Voorheesville died Friday morning May 23, 2008. Born and educated in Niskayuna, Garry worked for the New York State Police as a Forensic Scientist for over 34 years. He was wildlife and nature enthusiast, a member of the Micsropsicy Association, the Audubon Society, the Blue Bird Society, a history buff, an avid hockey and River Rats Fan, a member of the Society for the Preservation of the Adirondacks and had developed the largest Tree Swallow Colony in the Adirondack Park which was published as an important area. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Donna M. (LaCasse) Veeder, his children, Darcy N. Brunick and husband Staff Sgt. Daniel Brunick of Alabama, Stacy R. Veeder and Brendan Veeder both of Voorheesville, his granddaughter, Genevieve Brunick, his Brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Janice LaCasse of Henderson, NC and his special friends, Linda and Gary Litwin of Ballston Lake, Juliann and Michael Della Rocco of Altamont and Debbie and Gary McCaffrey of Schenectady. Garry predeceases his mother Loisanna Veeder, his brother, Dr. Glenn Veeder and sisters, Dr Carolyn Eberhard and Dr. Mary Veeder. Funeral services where held private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Garry Veeder Memorial Fund for his children at any Key Bank Branch. Arrangements are by Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Ave, Schenectady, NY.
